The Story
THE START
Hi my name is Benedek Szente and I'm a 18 year old professional kitesurfer . I was born in budapest Hungary and until I was 6 years old I had a completly normal childhood . When i turned 7 everything changed , my parents decided to start a kiteschool in Sicily , Italy and it was probably the best decision ever
I loved the sea and the wind from the first day in Sicily and I did my first water start just 2 years later . I didn't take kitesurfing seriously at first but with time I fell in love
Since I was living in Sicily with the perfect flat water and clean wind the first discipline I started training was freestyle and for the first years that was my only focus
With the rise of Big air 2 years ago I also started picking it up and now Im a 2 disciplined rider competing in both around the world
Chapter Two
FIRST COMPS
My parents were very supportive of my kiting but they never forced me to compete or to take it seriously it was all my idea I did my first ever italian championship when I was 14 and I managed to get a u17 podium . That competition ignited my fire and I started chasing that win 2024 was the first year I got my first adult podium in the Italian championship . The years in between I also started competing in the gka junior world championship but without luck I didn't manage to get any podiums 2025 was the YEAR . I managed to win the big air italian championship and also the freestyle , and not for last I became Junior WORLD CHAMPION . I still can't believe that 2025 existed the way it did and I'm super exited to continue competing and winning some more

WHAT'S
NEXT
What's next is pretty obvious , as much training as possible on and off the water to max out my performance so I can get the best progression .
My goal is to become the best and win everything that there is out there , my goal is also to inspire and share the love of the sport with everybody out there , and to make our sport grow as much as possible
